Nylon
(Zytel®, PA, Type 6 cast, Type 6/6 extruded, Tecamid®, Vekton®, polyamide)

  • Special Grades:
    Nylon Type 6/6 extruded standard grade thinner sheets and smaller diameter rods.
    Type 6 cast nylon standard grade thicker sheets and larger diameter rods.
    Nylon MD - molybdenum di-sulfide lubricant added, lowers friction and increases stiffness.
    NyOil® - oil filled grade, lowers friction, increases impact resistance.
    Nylon GF - 30% glass filled, higher strength and temperature resistance.
    Special UV resistant grade in black.

  • Key Features:
    Excellent mechanical properties, high strength and high toughness, excellent bearing properties, low friction and outstanding wear properties, light weight.

  • Fabricating:
    Machines and cuts well, stamping.

  • Applications:
    Gears, wear strips, bushings, rollers, pulleys, thrust washers, valves, nuts, bolts.

    Nylon 6 meets ASTM D-5989 S-PA0211 (old Federal standard LP-410A).
